About Us

I am an independent filmmaker who has been in the field for over 14 years.  My projects have included shooting on-location for the History Channel in New York, Washington D.C., London & Paris.  I've traveled to remote villages in Alaska to document a ground breaking reading program.  I've done promotional videos for the American Film Institute in Hollywood and non-profits like the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Foundation and Rails-to-Trails Conservancy.

These were all wonderful opportunities and now I want to share with you a project that is completely my own.  My film, Riding Bikes with the Dutch, is a culmination of ideas and a vision that I have been working on for a long time.

In the summer of 2007 my wife Rachel, my young son Leo and I exchanged homes for one month with a family in Amsterdam.  We wanted to be in the heart of the city where I could document the amazing biking and walking lifestyle that comes so natural to the Dutch people.  With an astonishing one third of all trips made by bike within the city, Amsterdam truly epitomizes the active transportation model that we have been dreaming about in the US for decades.

With over 65 hours of footage captured, the post production process was pretty intense.  But I am proud to say, it is ready for viewing!
